However, I'd say ther are a few stereotypical haircuts for britain - mainly the short forward-combed style. Typical britain, at least from a foreigners viewpoint. If I were to draw a british stereotype, he'd have that hair and crooked teeth and tracksuit-bottoms.

I don't believe there is a haircut for each country or whatever nonsense, but there certainly feels like there is in Holland.

So if you were to draw a stereotype from a country (ie rednecks from texas), would you not think about the choice of hair?

The asian teens with the spikes? The Italians with the slick mafia-style? The long-haired blond chicks from Norway? The short-haired German women?

textures/feathering of hair is a technique in cutting... layers are the basic shape of your cut. get both.

erm what are you talking about. fringes are a major part of male fashion and style right now... for the edwardian look, catwalk look and all sorts of casual mid-length style. not having a fringe when having mid-length hair is kinda like not having any hair in the middle of your head when you get a mohawk.

how is that possibly misunderstood. i recommended some styling and you quoted it exactly... i.e. you echoed my advice.

Do NOT get fringes unless you're female, emo or gay. It's the 21st century (supposedly stylish) equivalent of a pony.

Just Google 'fringes + haircut' if you don't believe me.

according to you, if fringe = bangs, that means anyone with hair covering any part of their forehead is female, emo or gay

ok cool, so ill ask her to layer and texturize my hair, then ask for a proper 'bangs' cut?  bangs is just the name for the hair covering your forehead, so im pretty sure i need to specify how i want her to cut my bangs, and not just ask for a fringe/bangs cut.
