Hopefully this is true. Im a casual player, been playing since july '05 and im just recently starting to earn some of the higher profile awards. and most are still a long ways off.

I think the medals should be scaled in hours comparitavely, but it would be assanine to make the expert 500 hours b/c its not possible to achieve that /shrug
Good news, im pretty close to obtaining about 4 of the medals right now so this will help a lot.
are you kidding me. this is a stupid idea. i feel that making the medals hard to get weeds out the people who dont try. its like the 20,000 to 50,000 gp gap. this is an awesome way to weed out non-experienced players. if a person gets the 30,000 without a new unlock or a new this or that, it shows they really love the game.

I don't think that they should make the WCR easier to get. If you focus on winning it realy not that difficult, yes you have to be more selective when/where/who/how you play, but it is very possible. If most people found all the awards easy then they would not add any value to the game. It is good that there is a range of difficulty for the awards. The WCR is just one that few people see as achievable and so it is covated more, witch does not mean they should make it so 50% or more of the people can get it.908741059871059781 wrote:

This is all a plot to give us all the medals/awards so we'll be bored with the game (no more shiny's to try to get) and move on to 2142.

i got my SAS service medal today, i have 98 hours as SAS, 155 hours in theatre, and 234 wins, how does that work?

are they just changing the time requirement or are they doing away with the win requirement as well? from what that says it looks like we still might have the win requirement (ie, 500 wins for navy cross)
it would make more sense for them to change it to simply 100 hours and remove the win requirement (since 500 wins takes about 250 hours anyway) but that link didn't say so, perhaps poorly worded by EA

The win requirement is changed too. I got my navy cross today and I only got 308 wins.
wow now all i need is alot of wins from mec side to get the golden scimar!
