Below is the response I got back from EA after asking if they planned to fix the Tactical Support badge in the 1.3 patch. As usual a bullshit answer.

Could you please tell me if the Battlefield 2, 1.3 patch is going to fix the Tactical Support badge problem that has been gliched since the release of Special Forces? This would be a great fix to a problem that is long overdue to be corrected.

i think you didnt make your question specific enough. i havnet played SF much recently, but what is wrong with the tactical support badge. you should have put that in the email. anyways i just wonder where EA gets most of its complaint, or learn the most about glitches.

^ I think it's because, on BF2S at least, it says 1,000 deployments of flash/smoke to be awarded veteran status. I don't know of anyone who's gotten the veteran badge yet, though, even though they have 3,000+ deployments.

You guys bust EA all of the time...but do you really think that they are going to set aside the resources to individually answer god-knows-how-many e-mails individually?  Because you spent $40 or $50 dollars on a game you guys act as though you sit on the damn board and actually control some stake of the company...get over yourselves.  I agree, it is something that SHOULD be fixed, because it is an obvious mistake; however, if it isn't fixed in 1.3, the world will still continue to spin, I'll still be playing Special Forces, and in all likelyhood, so will the rest of you.  The badge has no importance in your ability to attain rank, so WTF worry about it so much?

Personally I don't think it matters really. Most of the time you find people sitting next to a supply box hucking these items randomly just in an attempt to get the medal...
