Minty - I cooked a Thai curry last night, most of it from a Sharwood's Jar but I did add my own buzz to it. I chucked in some part boiled Aspargus tips, wow mate. Wicked texture, flavour and obviously colour. It was a red thai curry so the green was wicked

You may have Pataks, Uncle Bens etc etc, I always use a sauce as a base, I never go completley from scratch.

You ever deep fried noodles? (not great for a curry tbh)

Get an 'old' saucepan and half fill with fat, when its smoking and hot, drop the noodles in with ya left hand and grab them straight away with some tongs in ya right, almost instant, cooking time is about 1-2 seconds. They are lush, thin crispy worm shaped noodles
