FWIW I haven't encountered any racism that I remember in this board, seems pretty well moderated to me.

I'm not saying i dont believe it, but things that go on in this world make people racist, which lead to a few racist comments "slipping out", 
this is a bit off-topic but...
In England in some cities, muslims, that come here illegally and leagally, ie this> they are building houses for muslims, with 5 bedrooms, 2 seperate bathrooms for male/females, and a prayer room facing mecca all for FREE they dont even need to pay council tax or anything!, which is bigger then the average persons house, we cant even sing bah bah black sheep, or call it a black board in public now cause it may offend them,  and we get told not to be racist! pff!

And i agree its well moderated

racism was allowed before 20th century
before that no one cared

kessel...you live in canada... just wodering about how many black people would you say live in your neighborhood? cause i live about half and half of whites and blacks..... and i dont just assume a black persons ignaront because most of them are. i atleast try to get to know them. but the way they act in my school, disturbing class time, annoying people by doing something stupid like throwing there books down, or if you step on there shoes?? i mean wtf?? its shoes. those are the things that black people do to set it up upon themselves. but its unfair that those black people that actually try in school get judge.

Where i live only political refugees are granted with a permit to live here and to help these guys/families out the dutch will give em a proper house to live in. These are the guys that will probably get killed in their country just cause they are different, eg gay people. Economical refugees are sent back to their country of origin as far as i know.

i dont mind the Outsiders/visitor coming over in our country and get a decent job and pay everything the same as we all do, and respect us like we will do him a favour and show respect towards him

but i hate the lazy bastards that come over and dont ever apply for a job or even trying to get one. just let us pay all his worries away so he can continue beeing a lazy fag and when he goes outside he's robbing, murdering other youngers for a sh!tty mobile or MP3 player.  For those i want to beat the shit out of them. You're upset over "Durka Durka" jokes?  Or the Hadji remarks? Or the Germans = Nazi remarks?
Now out of the three which one is really wrong.  I'd say Germans = Nazi.

The durka durka stuff was from a funny movie.  If you're offended at it, then I wonder what sort of entertainment you watch there, kessel!  Team America was more insulting to Americans than it was to foreigners.  But at the end of the day, durka durka jihad, is still funny stuff.  My dad was in the embedded training team for the Afghan National Army.  His soldiers who spoke pretty good english, to where he didn't need an interpreter LOVED Team America.  They used it as a way to view the insurgents as talentless hotheads who would easily be defeated.  It was a training tool of sorts. 

Hadjis?  Was once used to describe all muslims who made the Hadj to Mecca.  And the people who traveled in packs to and from Mecca were Hadjis.

I see more homophobia than anything.  I see faggot, fag, gay, etc. thrown around a lot.
Then there are the ignorant folks who throw around beaners.  I've never seen the use of the n-word as of yet, and that is both amazing and commendable.

But most of the people making comments like that I'm almost willing to bet are probably 18 or under and probably go to a nice all white school and live in an all white suburb.  These are the people who should be put  on an island and nuked.  God only knows what you will teach any offspring you turn loose on this plane of existence.   If you want to be considered smart and educated and have people listen to your comments and hold you in high regard, throwing out homophobic and blanket stereo types won't get you there.

I'm from England too. What cities have you heard this is happening in? Is it places like Brum and Leicester, places with a big Arab community? Or is it in other places? I don't think here is any such rule about Council Tax though mate. There are certain groups of people who don't have to pay Council Tax. These are under 19s in full time education, students and people who aren't working or are in receipt of benefits, be that incapacity, income support or whatever. These people don't have to pay Council Tax (or at least pay a reduced rate). So if these Muslim people fall into any of these groups they wont have to pay - other wise they are liable like the rest of us AFAIK. The only other exception I can think of  is if their applications for asylum are still being processed. If thats the case, depending on the conditions they may not be allowed to work and they may or may not be in receipt of benfits. In that case they may well not be paying Council Tax.

I agree on the "ba ba black sheep" stuff though. I never thought for a moment it was racist, it's about a sheep having different coloured wool isn't it?!?! And the blackboard stuff is just plain stupid.
