Gordon Murray, ex-McLaren F1 designer and the pen behind the Caparo T1 supercar, but also because the car itself is an ambitious project. Designed to be tiny, efficient and flexible, the T25 has finally been revealed ahead of its first public appearance at the Smith School’s World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment in Oxford.

For those unfamiliar with the T25, it’s basically a design for a new type and class of personal transport vehicle that offers solutions to reduce congestion and parking problems whilst addressing the issue of full lifecycle CO2 damage. Murray is planning a range of body styles for the T25, including a van, pickup truck, taxi, police car, cabrio and even an MPV.

These types of small cars I have to say look as safe as driving a motorcycle.

Sounds good to me.  If the insurance is cheap I'd drive one.

and a plane could crash into my house tonight.  one way or another, life will kill you.  no reason to fuss over the size of a car.

I don't understand why it's so hard to design an efficient car that doesn't look hideous. I really don't understand it. There are thousands upon thousands of people that would be all over these cars if only they didn't make them look like someone crashed a Smart car.

Yea but there's also paralysis and a whole bunch of stuff you could get that's worse than dying... so safety is an issue.

other than that... it seems ok... crappy design is expectable tbh...

Screw that!  I'll keep my 10mpg Jeep and 180mph Duc thank you very much.

Too expensive...  not very reliable either...   Granted, they do look cool and are fast as hell.

65 mph isn't quite enough. And besides, I bet it's got no gear change mechanism. So no thanks. I'll stick with my 8000 dollar 951.

It look like the bastard child of a Smartcar and one of those deep sea rovers.  If you can design a super-efficient car that doesn't look like something out of a bad sci-fi movie and actually has decent leg room, I might consider purchasing one.  Until then, I'll stick to what I have.

I wonder if with the increased CAFE standards we would eventually have to drive these types of vehicles?
