I need to buy something. I haven't bought a PC game in ages.
haha they want 25 euros for Prototype. Good luck with that
Beat Hazard for <2 euros, absolutely worth it if you havent got it yet

Hmm... should I get DOD:S to complete my Source engine collection?

Do it. You won't.

I got Star Wars: Empire at War for 4.99. Game is awesome
If you can get the original .exe then try using that instead of the steam one.ebug9 wrote:
Shit. There's no option for 1920x1080 in the Steam version of SA and the patch won't work with the .exe
I had to do this with Commandos 2 to get the resolution hacks.

Borderlands worth $10? I just don't want to get too addicted though.

Borderlands was great the 1st time I played through it... the weapon drop system keeps it fresh which is needed because story-wise it doesn't offer much... if you like mindless fun and a few humerous hints and tons of easter eggs, go for it...
I suspect Uzique and Miggle to flame me into oblivion for this, but I haven't regretted that I purchased it at release @ the new retail price....

Meh, decided I'm just gonna pass on those. Don't need to spend more money than I already have
I own it.FloppY_ wrote:

Just stick with the game for now, you can allways get the DLC another time if you love the gamemtb0minime wrote:

I'd recommend downloading willow-tree for when you make more than 1 character... it lets you duplicate and move (even craft) items between characters by exporting them from one save and then importing them to another...

If anyone wants a guest pass for DoD:S let me know.
Too bad the retail key doesn't work for steam, because I hate buying shit from the dev's site. No sales.FloppY_ wrote:

Wish I could help you there. I have that game but haven't played it.Spidery_Yoda wrote:
I was wondering about P.B Winterbottom. It seems to be a game based entirely around that one world in Braid where you could make a copy of yourself. I wonder how it is.

i mainly played skirmish, land sucks but space is cool. mods make land and space much much better, and some vastly improve the models. regular empire at war doesnt let that many units in the battlefield so mods are a near necessityFFLink wrote:

Even if you have it on retail, I suspect the Steam version's worth the five bucks for hassle-free FoC gameplay with Windows Vista and up.FFLink wrote:

edit: land combat sucks ass; space combat is awesome as shit
edit2: as to the above, no idea how mods will interact with Steam's EaW.
*sigh* bought Borderlands and the DLC. Ironically cheaper than buying the three booster packs I don't have.
Also bought Beat Hazard and EaW (so I can play the expansion on this PC...they better have fixed it).
EDIT: If you're feeling generous towards buddies, grab the four pack. It's about as much now as Borderlands usually is.
