If you're concerned about getting cancer because you have to breathe a bit of smoke for a second every once in a while you should probably wear a respirator when you walk outside, because car exhaust is everywhere. I was at work yesterday, doing parcel pick-up service in the garage of my store. The ventilation is pretty awful. I was there for 6 hours total, and by the end of my shift my throat and nose felt stuffy. I feel way worse after working one of those shifts than I do after a cigarette.

edit: I haven't once coughed, sneezed or felt ill because someone at the table next to me is sucking on a martini.

And nobody ever got killed because a guy was driving after smoking a few cigarettes.

Then you're much more courteous than most smokers. My friends are all really good about it when I'm hanging around with them and they're smoking, but I tend to find random people don't give a shit.

I haven't smoked since December but still find a girl smoking to just be so damn hot sometimes.

Move out to Jersey and commute to NY tbh.

However, in Japan a lot of men smoke yet they have a lower incidence of lung cancer than in the US.

Popping in once more for this: unless he burns himself on the cigarette lighter and veers into oncoming traffic.

On a less silly note, you can always get drunk and catch a ride home (avoiding drunk driving altogether) without making people gag on the atmosphere you create, other than (if you're the type) making an ass of yourself.

There are much more expensive forms of smoking yet many are not deterred because of price.

It's not though. They honestly don't give two fucks about the health of smokers, this is simply a money grab couched in the appearance of a health issue to make it more palatable and get non-smokers to go all nazi on smokers. If every single smoker in NYC quit today, the city and state would go bankrupt tomorrow.
