Why do they do it like that? More money/advertising if something lasts a maximum of 7 games? That's the only reason I can think of. Otherwise it's bizarre to have two teams play each other so much for the championship.

this is not a 'riot'. a riot is protesting against something - it's a public act designed by its own nature to draw official, media or public attention. it was a bunch of drunken vandals committing a pretty minor misdemeanour and act of property-damage.

when cars are overturned and burned, stores are looted and public spaces torn up to protest a political point, that is a riot.

walking out of a sporting event with one-too-many beers and getting carried away with your ruckus and celebrating is a minor offence, nothing more.

and to ignorantly say that all 'riots' (in the proper sense) are committed by poor, racial minorities or marginalized citizens, with no historical, social, economic or political understanding of the CONTEXT and ideological PURPOSE of such an act... is stunningly stupid. i am amazed that you can view them as somehow 'isolated' and unrelated events, actually. why do you think these people historically rose up and created trouble? because they're somehow racially or culturally predisposed to be violent and enjoy living in poverty, ruining the whiteman's shit?
