Actually, I'd say take out radar station's with AGM-88's first, or the new tacit rainbow missiles.

The country with the best chance of beating the US? Hard to say. If china attacked the USA, Russia would probably attack China for personal gain, or vice versa. Military power wise, though, I'd say Russia. China's army has good equipment, but they'd need to overtake the USA. The USA can easily take down small scale attacks.

Both Communist. Both with scores to settle against the US. Both have had UN vetos against the US and vice versa.

They'd sooner ally against the US than attack each other.

They pretended to help each other, but they really don't like each other. However, the USSR had worse relations with China than the current Russia. So, they don't hate each other as much. If ww3 broke out, on power would want the other 2 powers to weaken each other, and then fight.

Russia and China are not even militarily comparable with the US. You forgot the whole NATO thing too.

China has stayed pretty much in it's own corner of the world for the last 2700 years, doubt that will change.

They may extend their influence around the globe, but they will give clear warning before they take up the mantle of 'world superpower'.
Namely, Korea and Japan (their historic enemies) will likely be the first hit.

The three-way ill-will fest between Korea-China-Japan is at least twice as old as Judaism, Christianity, or Islam - as an example

Here's a good one of an AIDC ching-kuo, Mirage 2000-5 and an F-16B doing some highway takeoff fun. Imagine how a highway takeoff with the STOL gripen would be. That would be amazing.
