I originally agreed with the concept behind the war. I thought going to Iraq was a bold, yet risky move, one that could have helped lead to a long term peace in the region. Yet, we have botched it in almost every way imaginable. We could be killing people planting IED and crossing the border with Iran. We should perhaps be going after Al -Qaida in Pakistan. If we were serious about the GWOT we would be dealing with Saudi Arabia and Syria.
What we have instead is the Democrats doing everything possible to ensure America loses faith in the war and our soldiers. We have Republicans doing everything possible on their end to make this was as far reaching, ill-defined and profitable as possible.
And next election we will still get to chose from asshole souless bastards from the same two major parties.
To be honest, I am so fucking disgusted with everything I would actually consider conversion to Islam and adaptation to Sharia.
Anything seems better than the free fall into national and cultural suicide we are in now.
