Thoughts on Chris Clark? I heard Herzog a while back on Warp20 and can't get enough of it. Does the rest of his stuff sound similar? a faint touch of Philip Glass to it? (Now that I think of it, a lot of the IDM I love is the stuff seemingly inspired by Glass)
Uzique got me into chris clark a few months ago with Ted, and I was blown away. Definitely one of my favorite artists.

heard it today. It's certainly different from his old albums (After all he hasn't released any music for... 2 years?) but I like the new aesthetic of it. Also the "outburst" with 'Silver surfer ghost rider go' hits the spot.

well I listened to his collaboration with peter broderick... i like it. pretty strong philip glass influences, clearly, on this lp, but i don't mind it.

Jimmy Eat World re-released their first album, Clarity, as a live version.

If you like them, especially their first album, it's definitely worth checking it out. I can't get enough of it.

This is really great.

Check out Kitsuné Compilation 9 if you want a feel-good, happy indie/electo/stuff, summery compilation album. Has been out for a while.

FAO: DonFck: how's that '1000 albums to hear before you die' playlist going? I've been meaning to ask but I kept forgetting. I don't think I'd get all 1000 albums (probably already have a bunch), but if there's any standout electronic ones, let me/us know

It's going really slowly, I'm at 6/1001 but I'm getting there (before I die, I hope). So far:

1979 by Ash
1984 by Van Halen
1999 by Prince
2112 by Rush
(What's the story) Morning Glory by Oasis
...and Justice for All by The Metallicas

No big surprises as of yet, Prince was bollocks to listen through. So was Van Halen.
