I heard that army pilots get very little options of aviation specific degrees. I remember there was a bachelor of aviation or something, but it was only open to air force and navy. There were also a few others but from that, there was only the Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautics which seems pretty....idunno, non-piloty?

Last time I checked, Army pilots can do B Tech Aviation, its just alittle different because RAAF and navy are already accepted as pilots in their service, where as Army is just an application to the Army Aviation Corps basically. So I think it's done on a case by case bsis (I could be wrong) But yeah, if you want to be a pilot I don't recommend B Tech Aero. Because basically it is 2/3 of a engineering degree and you might find yourself in one of the engineers corps, rather than aviation corps.KuSTaV wrote:

EDIT: Just asked a pilot friend of mine. He said that it recently changed. Army pilots didn't used to be able to, but since the course got changed Army Pilots can now do B Tech Aviation. Apparently all the old info/booklets etc will still say that they can't.

So my test was ok. There were a few hard fuckers, but I got it done with 45 min to spare (out of 2.5h).. went though it again and picked up a few more marks.
