yes, it's a lottery-grant scheme, but we do have a full time marketing guy. I just struggled with what I'd been set, I've no experience in this area, and I just couldn't deal with the workload. Time for a few weeks of self-loathing, bad moods, and near depression as I start to think I'll never sort my life out.
dude it's just a skatepark. and i don't mean that insultingly. don't get down over one little business. almost every skatepark ive been to in the UK has seemed barely profitable and struggling to get funding - it was a 'craze' a few years ago and now, doubtless, the lottery hand-outs and council schemes have died off as the popularity has. it's not a personal fault to get fired from such a 'stressed' business that needs to milk every last quid for what it's worth. look at the positives of it: okay, marketing aint for you. how many years were you intending to work at a skatepark for, anyway? it's not a viable career choice. and now you can cross marketing off your serious corporate considerations.
