Cell and creature stage would be my favorites, if:

cell stage was just like some bad game you get on your mobile phone or summat so!:
creature > civ > tribal > cell > space
creature > civ > tribal > cell > space
I liked the creature and civ states. I actaully liked spore, I loved the depth of the user creation tools.
Yeah, those were great. It's unfortunate how the entire games awesomeness was because of it's creativity, though. The gameplay was average, but every time you played, you'd be like "Well, what if I tried it this way next time". Yeah, spore kicked some ass.
