Spying like this is going to far, BUT this guy is brilliant. He doesn't have to do any spying, hell he doesn't even have to be living there. If everyone thinks that he is going to have the inside dirt on Palin because he is neighbors with her, then his book is going to really sell. from a business and PR tactic its brilliant. If the Palin's go after him or get some official to oppress him, then its just more publicity for the book.

And who knows may be he will be right there to witness a drunken Palin brawl ala Tiger Woods story first hand.

Great point. The publicity he's getting makes up for all the costs and downsides to his plan, definitely. And lots of people will probably buy the book just to see if he abused Palins privacy. He is pretty smart.
