And people can't understand why Arizona is in an uproar about the illegal immigrants from Mexico.

These pictures are just outside of Tucson, Arizona in the Sonoran Desert.

This layup is on an 'illegal super - highway' from Mexico to the USA (Tucson) used by human smugglers.

This layup area is located in a wash area approximately .5 of a mile long just south of Tucson.

We estimate there are over 3000 discarded back packs in this layup area. Countless water containers, food wrappers, clothing, and soiled baby diapers. And as you can see in this picture, fresh footprints leading right into it. We weren't too far behind them.

As I kept walking down the wash, I was sure it was going to end just ahead, but I kept walking and walking, and around every corner was more and more trash!

The trash left behind by the illegals is another of the Environmental Disasters to hit the USA. Had this been done in one of our great Northwest Forests or Seashore National Parks areas there would be an uprising of the American people........but this is remote Arizona-Mexican border.

You won't see these pictures on CNN, ABC, NBC or the Arizona Repugnant. Nor will they mention the disease that comes from the human waste left in the desert.

They do talk about light bulbs a lot though...

A solution like this going along the entire border would only cost something like 3 days in the Iraq war, and would pretty much stop all illegals.

But they don't do it.

I'm pretty much resigned to the idea that there's not really much we can do about this issue, because we still don't address the initial core of this issue... the fact that people here hire illegals. If we were tougher on employers of illegals, then jobs for them would dry up, and then the immigration itself would slow down.

While it is true that having negligent border authorities certainly doesn't help, illegal immigration in and of itself is a direct consequence of having a major market for it.

TBH, comparatively to say, the current oil spill in the Gulf, that looks like a pretty minor environmental 'disaster'. You could clean that up in a matter of hours. There are plenty of perfectly good reasons to be either for or against illegal immigration; this isn't one of them.
