Okay, so i was wondering....i got a old ass pc...still able to play some games but well...i'd like to boost my fps and shit a little.

And well, would it be possible to make a session in windows xp that would sorta boot like a safe mode....boot only the essential...but for gaming? I dont know if you really get what i want or if its possible at all, but i'd like some of you high tech guys to tell me what you think and what you know about such a wierd idea.

Hmm, not much you can do with XP. It's pretty barebones as it is. With Vista/Seven you have a tonne of shit you can turn off..

I did a little google, look through some of these

Yeah i know about it, but i wanted to make like 2 session...my regular one that i use for msn, bf2s etc etc, and a second one for high performance.

There's a bunch of services you can disable in XP, but most of them are already set to manual and aren't running anyway.

Then of course you could make a lightweight nTune install, but that probably won't make too much difference either.

Ive found out a way to make said session, when i boot up i can select the profile i want, this should do the trick!
