Thanks
Here's another thing. I've been working as a computer technician for a while now for friends. Only problem is now I've fell upon an old laptop, about 7cm thick xD It's an old toshiba, and she wants me to format it. It has Windows 98, so she wants me to format and then install XP. It's got 40mb of RAM
I really don't know what I can do. So I'm trying to format this thing, it's not reading the Vista disk (which I want to just use the first part to format then quit the installation). It's not detecting the Vista disk. So I'm going to try a Windows XP disk from a friend.
I went into the MS-DOS and tried FORMAT C: and it formatted 100% then recuperated the shit I formatted
I don't know what to do, I'm assuming the XP disk formatting will work right?
What? Old computer to a not so old computer? Different motherboards, different other hardware. Driver issues. Back that shit up first if you are going to use it as the primary boot drive.Finray wrote:
Yes, yes, yes.
I was gonna say, whats wrong with just copying the files over to the new computer? Why put an aged shitty HDD into a newer comp? If he would be fucked at losing the info, why is it not saved to an external drive as well? Shit should be saved multiple times if its all his work for the last number of years.Ilocano wrote:

No, the laptop does not have a floppy drive. Just some weird big whole (cassettes? ) and CDs.
She paying me with blowjobs. No jk, it's a formatting and she's a friend. How much should I charge if I did?

I was just thinking, if your charging her anything to touch up something that old, she would be better off getting a second hand newer laptop for cheap and have windows re-installed.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Anyone know of any good plugins/addons for Firefox that'll let you download YouTube videos? Right now I've just been going to keepvid.com and pasting the link, but it's a little tedious Being able to right-click and hit "save youtube video" or something like that would be nice
I don't use it personally but Flashgot can download all embedded flash including youtube videos...mtb0minime wrote:

also, it's probably one of the most popular google searches

Internet Download Manager also works pretty well.

Why the hell am I working away on an amd sempron 2800+ 1.6ghz comp with 512 mb ram??
Because it's completely sufficient for working on?CammRobb wrote:

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Why doesn't Youtube have this option by default? Without this script the normal max size is tiny
