No, they relied on that individuals doodling to target him for death, just like they relied on that film makers movie about violence within Islam as reason to target him for death. I don't care what Islam does in Islamic countries, those that are and were targeted for death for their expressions were not and are not in Islamic countries. This is the problem. What happened 1000 years ago does not rationalize what is happening today, and it never will.

That's the thing though, you're not. In doing this not only are you being a dick to fundamentalists and extremists - which is fine - you're being a dick to regular Muslims, who would view this as you having no respect for their religion. And frankly it's true; whilst their religion can't dictate what other people do, by drawing Muhammed it does show a certain lack of respect for their religion.

This isn't to say that you shouldn't be able to do it, and of course I agree with free speech/free drawing(?). But I'm sure there are much better ways to demonstrate free speech than piss off a bunch of people who have never done anything to you.

lol, the "REAL Muslims", are the ones praticing the Koran and following the teachings of Muhammad. Both of which teach the spread of Islam through the sword. Not really sure about the group you are referring to. What religion are they practicing?

The 'don't draw Muhammad' rule is as artificial and ludicrous as a Christian church deciding it's a good idea to bonk yourself on the head with a flat board after each spoken sentence.

The point to drawing Muhammad despite violent reactions is because of the violent reactions. It is an assertive move proclaiming peoples' right not to have their culture displaced in favor of not brushing up against the unreasonable sensibilities of an implant.

As to the underlined, that's skimming the boundaries of false. Non-Muslims and non-Muslim organizations may feel bound by Muslim rules when Muslim wackos attempt or threaten to enforce them violently. I respect their religion insomuch as it remains reasonable. I have no qualms about mocking the stupid parts, just like any other faith.
