Exams. If you try hard, they usually come out somewhere near or slightly lower than your grade average for that subject. In my experience.
In my experience if i put forth moderate effort it comes out the same as my grade in the class. try hard=easy high grade..most of the time

I've always found that if I thought I did well, I've actually done shit, and vice versa.
Certainly rang true for my Graphics and RE exams. Came top of the year in Graphics mock, came away with a D at the end of the year (although I think that was more so because my coursework was shite). Got F's and all sorts in the practice exams throughout the year for RE, mostly because I couldn't be arsed with the subject. Came away with a B in it
