What's the deal with the blacklist then? I thought if you even posted the list of sites, you could be fined.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

It might sound bad. But really it has no noticeable effect in this era (especially due to the internet). You aren't stopped from watching it etc, its just stopped from being sold by Australian retailers. It's mainly just old sensibilities remaining in our society that no government seems to be bothered/willing to change.

I think you can be fined for distributing the list, but it was so widely spread I don't think that ever happened either... but the black list was the proposed list of sites to be banned, it was never implemented. (obviously except some of the child porn sites etc which are probably already banned or monitored by the police)Turquoise wrote:

Also, its election year so I think the government are trying to just sweep this one under the rug... then again they are being hammed over so many other issues that this is the least of their problems at the moment.

So basically, these officials went to the trouble of revealing to the public that they had a list of sites that they wanted to ban, they coerced the public to not research what the sites were, and they also mentioned that they were going to put a filter in place to block you from these sites and god knows what else.
Wow. It sounds like the current powers that be aren't very good at PR -- like worse than Bush even.
Is there a landslide election coming up?
Nevertheless, it sounds like the ACB's policies are more of a systemic problem. I know you can still import stuff to get around it, but it just seems like this is the sort of agency that needs to be disbanded.

Probably won't be a landslide election.. but it will be far closer than the last election. Personally I don't think the ACB should be disbanded, just have their powers restricted.
They aren't any good at policy, implementation or PR.Turquoise wrote:

Fuck Israel
They just have the tendency to announce and implement policy before doing any research or listening to the advise of any expertsDilbert_X wrote:

They've also had a tendency to have most proposals blocked by the opposition, so it's been kinda hard for them to do anything. Then the opposition sits back and says the government have done nothing. Bit hard when you won't let them!
My ex is a D cup, we got together when she was 19 and I was 25. Clearly by the size of her breasts there was no age difference at all.VspyVspy wrote:

We're the "Lucky Country".
not really the point of what we are saying tbh
Does this mean potential porn stars are gonna start stuffing their bras with cane toads?
Does this mean all A cup sized women are going to have to get state-sponsored breast implants?
lol...Reciprocity wrote:

All small breasts are to be handed into your local police station where I shall be waiting with open arms to receive them.
You want small breasts?BN wrote:

Why post the wrong statement then?11 Bravo wrote:

I touched some B cup breasts last night at a strip club. Would they need to be enlarged to be legal?
