Australian Classification Board (ACB) is now banning depictions of small-breasted women in adult publications and films. They banned mainstream pornography from showing women with A-cup breasts, apparently on the grounds that they encourage paedophilia, and in spite of the fact this is a normal breast size for many adult women. Presumably small breasted women taking photographs of themselves will now be guilty of creating simulated child pornography, to say nothing of the message this sends to women with modestly sized chests or those who favour them. Australia has also banned pornographic depictions of female ejaculation, a normal orgasmic sexual response in many women, with censors branding it as 'abhorrent.

Apparently, in Australia, you're underage if your tits are small.

I was just researching this very subject; collecting images and short films to make a clear differential analysis.

You missed the key part, the first three words.
"A reader writes, "Australian Classification Board (ACB) is now banning depictions..... "

Pretty sure its total BS.

*facepalm*

So if you come home after a night on the turps with a 30yo sporting A-cups, does that make you a paedophile?

Bollocks, thats common on free-to-air tv right now.
If you'd bothered to read the article you'd notice it was female ejaculation, not orgasm.

Dude.  It's being reported all over the net.  Unless there's some massive conspiracy going on, it looks pretty legit.

This really seems like a desperate attempt on your part to avoid the point of this discussion.

What you need to realise is the Australian govt starts doing a lot of stuff, then realises its stupid and gives up.
This will also fizzle out.

Not really, the facts and the facts as you stated them were totally different.

Yeah, our government does stuff like that too, but it's not usually in the form of censorship or internet filters.

I'm just curious why they seem to have such a hard on for censoring all sorts of shit.

There are one or two MPs who are total fruitcakes, they press for stuff, it starts happening and then they get slapped down.
Otherwise Australians are very liberal.

This is a serious question.  As you said, most Australians are liberal about a lot of stuff.  I get that.  However, is it the religious pushing the censorship agenda, or some other group?

It's really just one MP who happens to be the communications minister who's trying to force this internet filter through. There's not a lot of support for it. I'm surprised he still has his job tbh.

From what I've read the ACB never stated this at all. It was one member of a political party (the Australian Sex Party) who stated that "under-developed" breast size was one factor considered when the ACB classifies/bans material with suspected U18 participants. It also appears that female orgasms were not banned but it was stated that "the fetish of ‘golden showers’ will be Refused Classification and have been in the past."

In the U.S., we have the FCC, which bans certain content from being shown on basic cable, but none of our agencies literally ban media completely from our market, other than illegal shit like snuff films or child porn.

I just don't understand why you guys have an agency that apparently will ban things completely from your market that don't involve some illegal activity.  That seems rather fascist on a certain level.

It might sound bad. But really it has no noticeable effect in this era (especially due to the internet). You aren't stopped from watching it etc, its just stopped from being sold by Australian retailers. It's mainly just old sensibilities remaining in our society that no government seems to be bothered/willing to change.

Well, I would imagine the filter must be somewhat difficult to get around.  You still have that blacklist, right?

The filter has never been put in place. You don't have to try and get around it because it doesn't exist
