Yes, of course I realize that there are different political parties, but I believe their agenda's aren't as different as you would like to believe.Ilocano wrote:

Hey I'll just use the tried and true argument that gets dragged out by the people who love the warmth of a real security blanket. You know the types, the people who love the idea of perfect safety, who always support the new security system, the new policing method, the new policy to check identification or the new crack down on liberty. Come on... you know the those people who always support the cops even at the expense of liberty.
Well this argument cuts both ways baby...
"If you're not doing anything wrong then there is nothing worry about."
If the cops aren't doing anything wrong, then there is no problem.
I'll sleep better at night knowing that the citizens are being protected and that the cops are not up to no good...
mmmm I love my new cozy blanket.
Comes fully equipped with liberty blocking blinders /sarcasm
Unfortunate side effects are "limited range of movement"

Hmmm... does Phoenix have a law against obstructing the rear window?
Dunno, but if they are Mexican and not American as they admit, I think it is reasonable to pull them over and check them out.Ilocano wrote:

I don't believe there is a law against obstructing the rear window. Tint restrictions are for windshield and front windows. Some vehicles don't even have rear windows.
I hope they drive well, because that will get police attention and if they fuck up while the police are watching I'm sure they'll get pulled over.

Who the fuck cares? I mean really, what are they going to do? They'll just get their asses tasered if they interfere, and then everyone gets a good laugh out of it.
Again, this wasnt even an issue a YEAR ago when this guy started it. But now, the race-baiting mainstream media is in a frenzy over SB1070 and are using this story to keep our attention on it and paint the bill in a nice coat of shiny racism.ghettoperson wrote:

Already said it goes toward attitude. These assholes will spend their time and energy filming cops trying to bust them, instead of helping them. Yet they will be dialing 911 begging these same cops to save them when they are in trouble.ghettoperson wrote:

But they'll just get tasered if they cause trouble. You like it when liberals get tasered don't you lowing? Or a good old fashion Rodney King style beatdown.
Not the point, it is the attitude they have to try and fuck the cops over rather than assisting them in keeping their neighborhoods safer.ghettoperson wrote:

I love a good old school Rodney King beating, hats off to any cops that get attacked by a drug addict, high as a kite and 3 time felon, and they beat the fuck out of him.

Chinese cops are the best, they don't fuck around ever and take no shit for an answer.
I love the way how they take care with hostage takers on sight, fuck trial, judgment day is right here.
You know, that's the way it should be.
Draw a line and have balls of steel.
If you followed me while I was on duty, I would arrest you for obstructing the law cause you're getting on my last fucking nerves with that sneaking around and don't talk shit to me, I am the law and I can, will and must break you if I have to, make my motherfucking day.

Well, I think the asshole part is that these people are just waiting for anything remotely resembling racial profiling, in order to push for eliminating this law.lowing wrote:

Instead of spending their time and energy actually observing for criminal behavior and aiding the police in making the streets safer for citizens, they choose to watch the police instead. What a bunch of assholes.
Sadly, it's a very clever and effective way to dash any potential for actual border security.
Again, I think what Arizona has done is too little too late. We are being annexed -- just very slowly and gradually.
Good thinking, or they'll end up in the fascist state you so crave.lowing wrote:

But for your sake, one point is the person driving the car could be a little old lady named Ginsberg for all you know. I wouldn't assume that just because a person puts an "I''m Mexican" sign on their car means that they are Mexican, just like there were people of other colors marching with MLK. IMO Everyone who disagrees with the law should do the same in support. And I wouldn't assume that its meant to provoke the cops, its political speech just like a bumper sticker.
I bet there wouldn't be a negative reaction the sign read
Right? No problem with an ethnic sign, right? So that means that the disagreement is with political nature and subject matter of the speech. Which is of course is what the First Amendment is all about. In fact poltical speech is our most important right. So the question to you is do you support the First Amendment or don't you? Even if you don't like what it says you still support the right to say it right? To answer no to that question, is...unAmerican.
Anyway, if a person thinks the law will hurt the liberty of US citizens and they put a sign up where ever... I'd call their exercise of political speech patriotic.
Like I said... cops got nothing to worry about if they aren't doing anything wrong. and if they are doing stuff that's wrong, well then we don't need them do we. Democracies need checks and balances... this cop watch is just one of them so its really nothing to fear.
Oh I almost forgot
God Bless the United States and the First Amendment I guess that's my real point right there

Was anyone saying that they didn't have the right or that it wasn't the first amendment? Yea I guess you did have a point, albeit irrelevant.
In fact, if anything, I was agreeing with you on this.. it's a waste of time to pull over people for having such messages on their car.

Agree, I would say that the speech is probably not directed at cops, its just political speech. A cop would have to have a serious psych problem to take something like that personally. It would be like a cop drawing his gun on a person just because they had an NRA sticker becasue they felt like it was a threat to them. They know that they are supposed to be following the law, they don't make the law or set policy. That's why these cop watch guys are nothing to fear. and the politcal speech is directed at the policy makers who will need the information about how the law is actually enforced before they decide to fix this law or pass its replacement. IMO this law is doomed, one way or the other it will be changed.Kmarion wrote:

Oh and on the "emotional" thingy...sniff sniff /sarcasm I like to take the lingo of the wing nuts and spin it back. Patriotism, God, the constitution, what it means to be a "real American." The debate that this little AZ law has stirred up has all those elements. You know that there are think tanks set up especially to figure out how to turn certain words into buzz words and how to poison other words, so that all a politican has to do it mention the word and immediately his followers will understand its meaning. Its like how religious groups can have their own lingo as an identifier. Its like training the public to be pavlov's dog. Nothing like wrapping yourself in the flag and waiving around the constitution like a sword. No wonder why the wing nuts always feel so empowered... and entitled.

Pretty sure we can turn them on and off, let alone they are static mounted and only film one direction. And statisticly, police are no different then the average moe when it comes to committing crime.Trotskygrad wrote:
