I recently purchased (tonight) a Viewsonic VX2025 WM 20.1" LCD. After re-installing bf2 to get it to actually start once I installed the monitor drivers, it seems that the highest resolution available in bf2 to select now is 1280x1024, wheareas before, I had available up to 1600x1200, anyone know of any issues that might cause this, and a possible solution? Thanks in advance....
The only way to play the game in full screen on a widescreen monitor is by using the target line in the shortcut.
It's not true widescreen, but it's the closest you'll get.

Hello, i just got a Widescreen too the benq FP202W and its great, I play in my widescreen res and the game looks fine to me.
Take a look at this, it explains how to use the widescreen resolutions in Battlefield 2.

If you don't want to read that, do this. Right Click on your BF2 shortcut and copy and paste +szx 1680 +szy 1050 At the end of the Target field. But change the 1920and 1200 with the res your screen runs at.
