i use the keyboard and mouse for flying... cs controls, so ctrl is crouch, shift is run.. so on.. it's really easy to use a keyboard, but the lag is what gets me.. lol

If you really want to test your flying skillz start up the game on Kubra Damn Multiplayer 64, join the US side, and fly the Cobra through the canyon at full speed, under the bridge, bank left towards the Dam and fly through the columns with the I beams at the top, up the hill, through the middle of the damn where the flag is, drop down inside the unfinished pipeline, fly all the way through and pop out the end w/o hitting the rebar. Think you're good now? Turn around and run the course in reverse. When you can do that regularly [as fast as you can] without crashing I'd say you got the hang of flying a helo. That course will test you pretty well.
Of course you still have to practice hovering if you want to.
Keyboard I find is much easier to Fly Choppers, and for Flying Planes, but for Dog Fights, your no Match against a Joystick
Well last night I tried both on single player, I find it's easier to fly with the keyboard as you are "familiar" with the buttons and when you parachute/jump out you don't have to switch. Anyway I was flying pretty good for a newb, but then the started gradually turning upside down, is this the yaw? Should I just turn the yaw to no button until I get the hang of general flying? Had the sens at default 3.0. Couldn't hover without trying my hardest, but obviously it takes practice. The joy seems to do spins while flying straight then eventually crashing. Think it's my pitch, but I'll leave the flying to the pros in multi, I like planting C4 on them (just started that last night) on Wake Isle and watching...
