They were scalping settlers while at the same time other natives were welcoming them, even encouraging them to stay and trade. This was long before they were "backed into a corner". Look at the whole story, both sides.jsnipy wrote:

There have been series before that have went into depth and haven't taken years to watch. The World at War for instance. Yes it was much longer, and it went over a smaller period. But it was probably the best war documentary to date. I guess I just long for something that comes close to it. I don't expect them to talk about every single person involved in the shaping of America. But there are some that should have been included. As I said, I still recommend watching it.
jsnipy will be happy to know they talked about Prince Estabrook. kinda had to eh? They also discussed the first Africans in America. No they weren't slaves but rather contracted laborers. Anyone willing to watch at least 20 minutes of it will instantly realize this isn't just about ole pale-face.
