caps lead to more lag misery and boredom. there are some fun times like hot dropping moms etc. but that usually turns into more lag and misery.
maybe for large cap battles, most of the time its like a 2v2 or a 3v3 situation (cap wise anyways). That's from a Brick point of view anyways.Christbane wrote:

yeah ISK is the currency
PLEX's are the names of the in-game items you can buy that are basically virtual versions of game-time scratch cards
and yeah it would probably take you a month of gameplay before you could comfortably get to the point where you could generate enough ISK. but so what? that's not hard. you spend $50 on a game like L4D2, for example, that is shit and lasts for about 50hrs of gameplay. EVE lasts forever if you're so inclined and have the interest in it. most hardcore EVE players i know (mainly from years of WoW) maintain 2-3 EVE accounts- paid for by in-game currency. once you get properly into the game you start rolling in the moolah.

i tried playing this again, but it just turned out to be a waste of time. the game is so boring.
mining makes literally shit all isk. all i do on my main is run around in expensive ships and shit in peoples cheerios. to fund that account, i started another account and trained him for running missions. so i log on a few hours a month, do a quick bit of trade and blast through missions, and voila enough ISK (in-game currency) to buy 2x30day plexes to fuel both accounts.
Starting from scratch you could get to the point where you didnt have to pay in 3 months, maybe 2 if you're fast. but DONT MINE. it will burn you out, it pays shit and its fucking BORING.

I estimate, playing maybe 3 hours a day at most, running a lvl 4 and salvaging.. I'd make the isk for 2 plexs in about 5 days. plex is about 280 million I think.
And Ted, the fitting is horrible, it's using 7 Rails to deal some damage and a remote shield repper to rep my Drake, which is tanking. mid slots are filled with cap recharges and an AB. Low slots has tracking enhancers and gyro's. I can use most T2 modules, but for T2 weapons im a few months off ;(
Oh btw. My skills for the ships doing lvl 4's are low, so with good skills you could blaze through them even faster.

shattered crystal is the best place to get timecodes. by the way, if you get invited by someone through steam you get 21 days of free play.
