yeah, because CoD3 was the first console exclusive singleplayer game in the series. And because after cod3 they made a lot more console exclusive singleplayer games.pace51 wrote:

I never liked halo, seemed like a rip-off from Unreal Tournament. Yet as someone already mentioned above the first CoD (Atleast the SP) was so much incredibly awesome and a step beyond anything I had played before. And the expansion pack for the first CoD, United Offensive was just pure
So for me..definitly CoD
So for me..definitly CoD
Halo SP > CoD SP
CoD MP > Halo MP
Halo SP + CoD MP = Something like Crysis Wars, not bad.

Actually, a lot of people don't realize just how good cod1 was, or how different it was from todays cod. It wasn't even made to make money. Well, it was, but they wanted to give you something fantastic for your money. Cod 1 was one of those which deserved your money. Cod1 was so different from todays games. Even pro gamers, and not people who buy games just to brag to their friends or to try them out, liked cod1 a bit better than cod2, because the regenrating health system just makes it a lot less skill base. Also, anyone can be good at cod1 in their own way, unlike MW2. MW2, the biggest sprayer wins.RDMC wrote:

Also, go cod! People complained about cod1's health system, because it didn't regenerate. Well, your not supposed to jump off everything you see. Most times, its peoples own fault they lose health.
CoD2 did a lot more than just change the health system. It added dots on the compass, holding breath, made scopes much easier to use, the trench gun, etc. And it took away quite a bit of good shit too, like rates of fire.pace51 wrote:

The best thing about CoD2 was that the Mosin sight didn't ever disappear due to being less than a pixel wide.
i fucking rocked ass at call of duty 1. i loved the BAR, and rifles of course.

Halo's the shit.
I only play MW2 cos everyone else plays it, and it's the current 'in-game', so unfortunately I must play it to keep playing with my mates.
I much prefer going round a friends house and gaming it up on some Halo 2 or 3. I had such a frickin awesome day from Halo 3 the other day, back with some friends I ain't seen in a while (Who I used to play Halo 2 with after school). Good memories and great laughs were had.
Only thing that beats Halo for me is Battlefield 2 and Timesplitters (PC and Console FPS).

In Call Of Duty 4, you can get a 20 kills streak, on any map, with any weapon, easily, because any weapon could beat any other weapon on any map, it was beautiful, CoD6, not so much. And you were talking about Call Of Duty and Halo, so i pointed out which of the 2 is more balanced, im not gonna go and say "BF2"pace51 wrote:
Cod 4 balanced? MW2 slightly less balanced? WTF?
The last, and best, balanced cod was definitely cods 1 and 2. And, even though some countries, like Russia, had better weapons, you got to choose one weapon from you teams country and one from the enemy teams coountry. Plus, I liked how the pistol functioned. It was useful if you ran out of ammo, and actually very useful, since it can be drawn so quickly and packs a pretty good punch. Pistols, even the bf2 ones, will never measure up to to the primary weapons, so I loved the cod1 mentality of "Keep it seperate but handy". Now that was realistic. Aalthough, back to balancing, the best balanced game ever was probably bf2. Really.
I think you should ask for pre approval before making threads. Kinda like how miggle should ask for pre approval before logging on.
CoD1, World at War, and CoD4 are definitely my favorites (in that order). On the PC... CoD2 was too consolized imo. The ones afterwards at least managed to balance pc/console gameplay mechanics.
CoD3 wasnt bad for a CONSOLE game. It was actually pretty fun. I was pleasantly surprised by the mutliplayer when I played it on Xbox live. Reminded me of somewhat of the UO expansion for CoD1.
Halo isnt bad, its just built for the Xbox from the ground up. Its a much more casual experience.... in the end though, doesnt even come close to being in a clan on the PC playing CoD and dominating in search and destroy.
CoD > Halo, anyday.

I ask for thread approval all the time. I mean it. Otherwise, you'd see about 6 or so more threads here.jord wrote:

First cod games yes, but the series got shit after cod4. I voted Halo as the cod series took a wrong turn.
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
I am bit confused why you quoted me and go on this CoD1 is awesome rage, because I think I also said that CoD1 was incredibly awesome?pace51 wrote:

It did, it took the letting people make another game turn, a few timesWar Man wrote:
