Pretty much, at the fraction of the cost. Got it for $255 after tax. I really needed a portable camera that shoots extreme zoom video HD that I'm not afraid to bang up when the kids are all over the place. It replaces my Canon S2 IS (still an excellent camera) since that shoots non-HD videos.Freezer7Pro wrote:

My replacement "middle" camera. Image Stabilization, 26x zoom, and 720P videos. For when pocket P&S just can't cut it and full DSLR is too much.

I can't get anywhere with it, because no one ever downloaded anything I seeded. So once my original free 5Gb or whatever it was ran out I had to stop using it.Uzique wrote:

Wow. We either get capped or, in my ex's case (wireless ADSL), charged @ $1 per 10MB. Her last bill was $360, when it's meant to be $50 with a bundled mobile plan.ebug9 wrote:

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Not really, it's the cheapest DSLR I could get my hands on, 400€ shipped. I figured that I should at least go with a real camera now that my good ol' six-year-old compact has finally started to act up. (It took four attempts to get that picture of the new one)GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

Welcome to the DSLR world. Yeah, tons of settings you can play with. Screw the guys who say you are a noob if you gatling shoot. Some of my best shots are on the fly cameos. Besides, with DSLR + RAW, cropping and adjusting images isn't an issue.
But where is the truck battery?
