it actually looked like a temp plate used to make it "street legal" for their testing process... a temp plate designed for easy installation and removal, similar to a dealer plate on rubber straps...

It's a trade plate you fucking moron. the car isn't taxed and registered yet so you have to use a plate provided by, in the UK's case, the DVLA.

And you don't permanently fix it because you can use it on any vehicle you like, but it can only be kept and used by the motor trade.

The "finest' English car maker, allowed a video showing the "trade plate" to be mounted incorrectly, it should have been cut from the video, or re-shot with it mounted correctly. It still makes the car look cheap! That was my whole point!
