I can't afford too, and if I could I wouldn't cause then I could spend saved money on other things.

Walmart is a problem.
I don't have a problem with the grocery chains though, they seems to provide improved service from the vegetable stall.

Why is Walmart a problem? The company itself isn't a problem at all. It sells shitty Chinese manufactured products that cost $5 and last for a few uses before they need to be replaced. Everyone knows this and everyone still shops there. Don't point the finger at the drug dealer, point the finger at the drug user.

You know how the disposable razor came to be? A man named Gillette was seeking business advice and was told to invent and sell a disposable product because it would make him rich. People keep having to come back for more. So, he went out and after a few tries invented the razor that we know of today. There isn't a man or woman on this planet that doesn't possess a disposable razor. I own two myself.
This is, to some extent, Walmarts business model. You could shop elsewhere for a straight razor that will last you a lifetime, but it's a hassle to sharpen it and take care of it and much easier to buy something you can toss in the trash when dull. Walmart sells trash that breaks and keeps you coming back to the store to buy more. Every time you do go to the store you don't just buy a replacement product, you buy other stuff as well. It's a fantastic model that obviously works well because it's got enough of you hooked that they could stop expanding today and still control 80% of the market.

problem with walmart is ...... its gotten to big ..... for some places in rural areas there is no other places to shop unless they want to put the miles on the road to go somewhere else
the value of items they sell are worth exactly what you paid for them but after you've replaced the item several times a year then wheres the bargin that you orginally paid
but the good size of what walmart has become, it could force some manufactories to re-open plants back in the states and bring back factory jobs and bring some of that china money back here

Not every product made in China is made in a sweatshop, you can tell (not foolproof, but it works) by the quality of the moulding.
I could care less. The $0.03 or whatever they make in a day is a pittance to us, but it's enough for them to feed their families. Cost of living isn't even remotely close.Trotskygrad wrote:

The 'poor' in America and Europe have color televisions, cable, the internet etc. The poor elsewhere can't afford those things because, well, they're really poor there and not just a bunch of sniveling whining bitches.
