The irresponsibility is on the part of the feds. If that were not so, Arizona would not be taking this step. This should not be an issue, but sadly, it is.

Barry jumped out there to essentially say " don't worry, we have a plan; no more illegal aliens, and um... universal health care for the immigrants, and motor voter registration and welfare sign up applications on the table there..."

Duh, if it were not for this law and the sheriff Arizona would be swarmed with illegal aliens like the ones you mentioned.

You neglect something: he obtained citizenship. That means he had to try. Most Mexicans do nothing and have no idea how to get papers.

I wish Sheriff Joe was our sheriff.

I love this new law. I only hope it is a beacon for other states in our nation to follow. It is about time action and not lip service has been put into motion regarding illegal immigration

I don't know. To me it would work. There is a demand for their services or else they wouldn't be here.

No they are here for entitlement, and this bullshit of having your baby born in the US makes it a US citizen even if you are not. As they get exposed for what they are and the burdon they create they leave.

I just heard on the radio a point of view that has given me pause and making me second guess my position.

A lady was being inteviewed and made the comment that for all of us conservatives that are screaming for less govt. Nothing stands out as big brother keeping their thumb on its citizens as being stopped by govt. and forced to produce papers....Can't really deny that.

I agree, but man, there are millions of American citizens and legal immigrants that fit the profiling used to enforce this bill. I do not see any way around that. and the visons of a police state checking papers of people on the streets is not an attractive one.
