Nearing the 15th anniversary of McVeigh and companies bombing that killed 168 people, get this;

Seems that officials in Oklahoma are concerned that the 10th amendment is not being respected. So, they are considering passing a law allowing armed militia groups to form.

Other states legislators are preparring legal documents for the same purpose.

Such steps are the first legal steps of a state considering independence. The national guard is a federal arm. It is not a organized state militia.

To me, legal acceptance of public militias, in a state that before 9-11 had seen the biggest " terrorist " attack allegedly by an militia group says a lot.

It says that law makers in the states crafting legal documents to allow such armed militia groups fear the federal government far more than they fear an armed populace.

It means there is hope.

Though I understand the basic and combat training of the U.S. Military is top notch, it would be interesting, in a purely academic way, to see how some of the better trained and organized militias would do agaisnt USMC in some war games.
