My older brother is a sparky who's worked on an alumina processing plant.

He's blown himself off a few ladders before. Massive shocks. That's why the electrical trades get paid more, danger money. If they are dicks about their work, people die.

As opposed to me, if I'm a dick about my work it just looks like shit. I wouldn't stress man, if he isn't zapped a few times he's probs not doing his job properly. My family freaks about me and ladders/scaffolding/roof frames and shit (to be fair I nearly fell off a 4 story building, curved iron roof that was wet at the time = slippery as fuck). Tradies do dumb stuff, it's why WorkSafe/OH&S laws exist.

I've had what, cautions from my supervisor, my boss, the local worksafe bloke (multiple instances, he can issue fines and have me tossed off site) etc. etc. over 'using ladders in an incorrect fashion'.
