What is it your getting paid to do exactly?

Support worker in a respite house for people with mental illness (bipolar, schizphrenia, depression, anxiety). It's non clinical and pretty cruisy a lot of the time.
My other job is a guitar teacher.

... Seriously though you live in Brisbane? Got plans for uni or anything because I've heard decent employment can be hard to find down there. Then again, very soon aged care will be a booming industry on the Gold Coast.

That reminds me.

I was sitting outside at uni minding my own business, doing maths and shit, when these two bogan as chicks sit behind me to have a fag (I was sitting in a smokers area, my own damn fault). I was eavesdropping on their conversation because they were loud as fuck, I was bored, and didnt know what to do for maths. They were discussing money problems and shit, with some dude owing them money. From their voice and nature of their conversation, I pictured them to be fat, 30something year olds with kids and shit. When they finished their smoko, they walked past and I  noticed they were like 19 years old. I lol'd a bit inside at their boganness.

It actually depends on where you end up and what crowd you mingle with. There are some massive c***s, and then there are some fairly decent people.

And like you say, it's who you mingle with.
One of my best mates lives on the Goldie and his mates are great.
Everytime I've gone out on the weekend there (which has only been maybe a dozen times) I always feel I have to watch my back though. Don't really get the same vibe in the Valley in Bris.

Me is bored

Gutted, Dad turns up in work he's yakking about a job, I walk past, 'Oh Math one sec - Ive had Gizzy put down today'.

I rescued her about 17 years ago from a house where she was getting battered, a cross breed, she was treated like a queen by all of us.  I lent her to him in 98 when I went on holiday and he kept her since.  He took her on his own to the vets, so I just been round to see her and say goodbye myself.  He's gone home to clear her bowl up etc etc, stubborn bugger wont let me help him, his way of dealing with it I suppose.  We reckon she was 18, he's cooked fresh food for her for the last 8 years or so.  Was horrible seeing him upset in work and guilty.  He did the right thing.
