Coopers Sparkling is like Pale only slightly stronger and slightly more refined, towards Crown but not quite.
Clear is different, I like it.

On the subject of Irish stouts... Why is Guinness so well known and Kilkenny's isn't?

Guinness have spent huge amounts on advertising for decades.

Had some good brews over spring break:

Maudite by Unibroue - 9.0/10.0 ; This beer is really good! Only drawback is the cost at $9 for a 4-pack, but its like 9% alc. so I guess that's ok...

Dirty Bastard by Founders - 8.3/10.0 ; Also around 9% alc, but this comes in a 6-pack for about $9. It's a good scotch ale, but not the sort of beer I'd want more than 2 or 3 of in a night...

Ranger IPA by New Belgium - 8.7/10.0 ; I'm not huge on IPAs, but this one is very good IMO. Citrus-y, but not overdone. It had a good finish.

And for the Guinness haters, it tastes a lot better closer to the source (like in Britain / Ireland) and on tap...the stuff we get stateside doesn't quite taste the same. That said, I'd still take a ton of different imports over Guinness, and I can only imagine what they taste like closer to their origin. (But yes, it is overrated I suppose...)

It's probably my favourite 'mass produced' cider, prefer Merrydown, had a nice pint at some real ale + cider festival the other day, forgot the name of it though, was from down your way though.
