That's where you and me differ. The less I know about the girl at the start of the night, the better... I'm too perceptive at times and hate myself for it, which is why I have to scavenge for girls that I don't know too well to do something with. The more I know of the girl, the less likely I am to attempt anything.

I read body language and conversations pretty well (trust me lads who think that being able to do this is a big ++, it isn't. It helps to be oblivious, seriously) and therefore the less I know about the girl, the more confident I am to talk normally to her and she is to me. I usually get girls to open up to me quite easily, and from then on I'll make a move. If I know a girl, even if just casually, I'm more hesitant when it comes to talk to her... usually because I've already realised what kind of guy she likes, how she reacts to enjoying herself etc etc.

It's not nice being able to read situations well, I'd rather be in the dark. Anyone care to swap positions?

Actually I wouldn't mind for once, it would be an interesting experience. The thing is I don't wait because knowing a girl makes me more comfortable talking to her, I simply don't care. By the time I do, I have often made things overly complicated for myself. On the plus side, being perceptive does allow you to make better moves.

For the small plus side there is, I'd rather not be so perceptive. You find that all the girls you'd like to be with are just impossible or never gonna work.

Interesting experience? Yes. Good experience? Not often.

That's why I play the game of the mystery girl, because even though I can tell it wont work, I want to prove myself wrong.

So I found this amazing girl. I see her only on Fridays. We're part of this group...it's a long story.

Anyway, I really like her a lot, and I'd like to spend more time to get to know her, sadly it's not just for 2 hours on Fridays that I'm going to get anywhere.

Is there any way of doing something with her like hanging out or whatever without making it totally obvious?

that is a problem. a girl i know broke up with her boyfriend by changing her status on fb, didnt talk to him about it or anything

its also big in how i know what one of my other friends is doing.. he was single a couple days ago and is now in a relationship.. and he wont say anything wtf

You want her to know you're into her. If she doesn't realise that they you fall into the 'lets just be friends' trap. Obviously you want to do it in a way that you can get to know each other and you don't come off as being a weird perve. If you guys get along well, why not invite her out for a drink/snack/coffee/whatever?

It works wonderfully if you like girls that are usually into you.

Sounds nice, you know a coffee/whatever, anyway that's always great to get to know somebody, but I'd never know what to do after that or whatever.

Cause, "Hey wana grab a drink?" would make me think, "ok then what?"
