Depends on my locale for late night adventures...

Downtown Houston - Katz's allnighter deli - Matzo ball soup + New York style pastrami on Challah

Clear Lake (Way South Houston) - IHOP, Denny's, Wafflehouse - all the other drunk partypeople and I go for whatever sounds good at the time.

Unfamiliar territory - Whataburger or Taco Cabana

On a side note, I'd like to point out that down here in the south we have NO WHITE CASTLE!!!!  (but boy do we need one)

Yeah but up north there is no waffle house to be found or in new jersey there's no sonic. WC is usually pretty good, but Chicago pizza sucks.

Edited to say good places to eat. Mostly in New Jersey there are diners that the big thing here open 24 hours and ever five blocks.

do people from America eat Chicago town Pizza at the end of a night?
There is no such thing as Chicago style deep dish pizza outside Chicago.  It's not really a late night thing either since all the good joints are closed by the time any good drinker gets out of the bar.  Also, there are two kinds of Chicago pizza, the deep dish, and the thin crust cut in a grid.  Most people I know usually just get thin crust.  You have to be in the mood for deep dish.

i feel like i need to clear something up.  being from chicago and having been to over 40 of the 50 states, no place other than chicago has chicago-style pizza.  theres nothing like a good deep dish from Gino's East (if you're ever in chicago, go there.  the pizza is over an inch thick).
I worked for Gino's East in college.  I never really cared for it then but now I like it.  If you REALLY want a good deep dish pizza in Chicago hit Lou Malnatti's or Pequods.

As far as late night drunken eats, this Chicagoan sticks to burrito joints.  Give me a fat ass steak burrito with beans rice and cheese and a horchata to wash it down any time.  Sometimes I'll go for the White Castle but I usually regret it in the morning.  Lately the bars I've been hitting usually serve food late night so I don't even need to change venues to grease up my gut.  There is this GREAT texas style bbq joint with really great live music called The Horseshoe up on Lincoln just north of Irving.  They have this great Frito Pie that I've actually had dreams about.  In fact, I had some last night watching my buddy's band play there.  Every other tuesday check this place out to see the Dukes of Haggard better known as The Siderunners for quarter beers and good cheap eats.  Even though a friend of mine is part owner and another friend plays there all the time I'm not trying to just plug the place, it's really that friggin good.

A friend of mine is moving to Austin in a month and I'm very anxious to get some Frito Pie down there...i've got the tx bbq bug.
