Yeah I had to wait until I moved out also. But they aren't like people think in my experience. Mine's never been aggressive towards me, just once pushed my hand away with a leg. She's pretty docile.
I'd love to get a snake also but I'm not allowed.

the stupidity involved in the owner's-assumption that you can 'tame' or somehow breed a 'docile' tarantula is fucking unbelievable. you deserve to get bitten if you somehow think a 'pet' of that intelligence/sapience has any notion of an 'owner' or a 'friend'. hold off on feeding the critter for a while and then stick your hand in the tank - see if it cuddles up to its beloved owner then...

dude we realize that but in general, they almost never bite people if you hold them, hence 'docile'Uzique wrote:

i expect they dont bite when you hold them because they're not dumb motherfuckers. they have an instinctive notion of what prey/potential meal is small enough and weak enough to get wtfpwned. but ive never seen the appeal in keeping them as 'domestic' pets. the only domestic thing about them is that they're contained in a fucking box. they're not tame or trainable at all. i'd prefer to just go to the zoo whenever i wanna see one; lot less hassle and a lot cheaper.

How much did that spider cost?
it was prolly a bit more since its a female (live longer and shit, worth more) but males are pretty cheap.CammRobb wrote:
