Anyone know how I can reset the default window locations? I have a program that keeps launching itself in my secondary monitor, and I need it to open on my primary screen. I've already tried CCleaner and checking the "Window Size/Location Cache" and rebooted, and it made no difference.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Have you tried Win + arrow key? Use that to move it to the primary monitor, close then see if it opens on the primary.

Yeah it should remember where it was closed last

Just tried it, and exited the program on my primary screen, it still opens on my secondary.

It should, but I don't know why, it isn't. This is really bothering me.

Someone help.

Have you tried resizing it? as in non-maximized....

EDIT: I've had some trouble with firefox doing that once...

I think resizing it and rebooting fixed it (yeah wierd I know)

Resizing does nothing, even if I resize it on the secondary screen and keep it there.

Try disabling the second screen so you only have the primary screen.

I've disabled the secondary screen, launched the program, and it launches like it should on my primary screen. If I close out, enable secondary, and launch the program, it will launch on the secondary program.

This is getting really irritating.

Okay, last thing I can think of:

Put like 90% of the window on the primary monitor and close and re open. I tested this with my email program because it usually opens on my secondary monitor and I was able to switch which monitor it opened up on.

I did that, and the program still launched on the secondary screen (which had been switched to the main display). I switched it back, and it STILL opens on the secondary screen.

Just to make sure, you are closing it with the window not maximized right?
Windows only saves the position when its not maximized.

What program is this?

CCleaner has a "remove window size and position cache" function, but it's never worked for me with that issue. Maybe you'll have better luck.

That was the first thing I tried, and it didn't help. I still haven't had time to try burnzz's suggestion.
Tazz, I'd rather not reformat.

I decided to go ahead and get rid of the secondary screen; it was taking too much space up on my desk....
