ive heard that reusing plastic water bottles is bad because they attract bacteria easily even after washing em.Canin wrote:

NYC spends about $100BN a year cleaning our drinking water and it comes from the mountains in upstate New York so between the two it's very safe and fairly tasty. I just use the Brita to remove the chlorine aftertaste.burnzz wrote:

I am dead set against bottled water particularly in Australia. We have a 10 year long drought. By bottling water you take water out of the natural water flow plus you waste water producing the plastic required for the bottle. Our drinking water is great, nothing wrong with it.
You can take as much water out as you like but as a citizen I can't wash my car due to water usage restrictions.
Bottling water doesn't take it out of the system.
