i have an asus p5q p45 motherboard (cant find link, all the pages say deluxe/se/turbo versions on them, which mine isnt)

i just bought - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … amp;tool=5

as far as i can tell they should be compatiable, but when ever ive installed the ram my monitor never comes displays anyhing, my computer comes on, beeps once as always and then just the power light on the monitor just flashes constantly. i made sure everything was connected right, all cables gfx card etc, also blew dust away from all the slots but no luck.  i tried my old ram again and it works straight away.

any help?

Make sure voltages and timings are set properly in the BIOS. Sometimes AUTO doesn't quite do it.

It's not your monitor, it's your computer. It could quite well be bad RAM, but my guess is that the voltages are incorrect. Go to your BIOS and change them accordingly.

yeah, no picture is usually a low level stop error.  try each mem stick individually, and if you can't find a bad one, then voltages for sure.
