It's Sunday and postsecret updated their page. I saw this one and it made me think.

If your relative was extremely ill and wanted to die but couldn't do it themselves would you help them?

If yes, would you help them even if it meant breaking the laws of your country in regards to assisted suicide?

If the condition they were in did not affect their mental stability (by means of drugs, or other toxins in the blood impairing judgement for example) and they asked for it, yes.

I thought no one in the UK was ever prosecuted for doing it? Or is helping them travel to Switzerland not illegal?

Anywho i wouldn't do it, but i'd expect someone to do it to me if i asked...

I don't think I could live with myself having not helped them. I would do it for my Mother and perhaps my Father, otherwise I have no close relatives.

If I was asked and refused then I would be responsible for every second of pain and misery they feel from that point on.

It's hard to say. Either way I'd feel awful because if I say yes then I feel responsible, if I say no then I feel guilty.
