In the wake of the widely ignored Ellie Light faux pas, the administation has taken the direct approach of blatant astroturfing by calling on citizens to spread the word

Granted, the Overlord instructs them to not use their supplied dozen or so "talking points" word for word, but rather to rephrase them a bit (still astroturfing though).  Apparently the typical militant Obamaite is too stupid to comprehend those instructions and direct quotes plagarized from the site are popping up in "news"papers all to eager to force this clown's ultra-leftist agenda upon America.  This administration has no shame.  Sad.

It is also wierd. I don't understand the active roll the press is taking in all this.

Reminds me of the planted stories and pay-for-airtime 'scandal' during the Bush Administration.

That's not change, that's more of the same!!

They all try to manufacture support, its not their fault because that's what they do, they organize political support because its a political party they are the ones that are supposed to be engaged in that process... its up to news outlets to know when they are being used... but its
funny... when its FOX repeating GOP talking points its a no spin striaght up news story
Not canned news like the "tea party" riots... errr i meant to say "tea party" showing of patriotism

I guess that's because what you have now are news outlets battling to get political messages out. The news outlets are trying to define their message to entertain certain groups... for example Jay Leno gets dems and David letterman gets Republicans. Fox gets GOP, MSNBC gets dems, wall street journal gets GOP, washington post gets dems. etc etc etc

To me it looks to me like the letter campaign is trying capitalize on that trend. A tactic one would expect from a political party. no surpirse there.

If you want to be up in arms about something and want to blame someone then blame the people who a dumb enough to fall for all the BS.  you know... its the boob in front of the tube, its the person who watches all this crap and the commericials that run between the spots of "infotainment." If you don't know who that person is stand up, go to the bathroom... I'm sure there's a mirror in there somewhere.
