How does one put in a watermark on a image using CS4
Viewable on the image or embedded file data?

Put the watermark on a layer above the main image and drop the opacity until it looks how you want it.

Gimme a shout if you need a hand with it, once you've got a watermark sorted I can throw together an actions file, all you have to do then is hit the go button and it'll watermark it for you
You should make sure that the actual watermark is a cutout.
