I've recently moved over to BF2 Vanilla from SF, well, I actually started there and then came back.

I don't know if this is a gripe, but let's see:

I got to play a great game yesterday on 64 player map with 16 people, and no it wasn't Karkland.  The game lasted over an hour it seemed which was long enough for me to get my Expert Spec-ops and Meritorious unit (I had like 60 something rifle/nade/c4 kills and 90+ team points) and a BRS of 205.  None of it was from armor whoring, or chopper whoring which made me feel especially good.  It was all ground-pounding.

Now here's the problem as I see it:

You just can't do that on a SF server, no matter the map.  I have tried playing on low player large map size server and they maps just seem too small, not to mention that all the large map size servers are always full, leading to quick caps and games ending too fast to meet badge and ribbon requirements.

I love the SF gameplay, but for stats will have to stick to BF2...

One more thing:  it really sucks that you can play SF, have 60 kills, and get both Expert Spec-Ops badges, but if you play BF2 vanilla as Spec-Ops you only get the BF2 Spec-Ops badge.    I wish EA would change that...

Peace to all of you.

I hate to be picky but its KARKAND not karkland, but to your post i do agree, as there are not that many servers on SF they do tend to be full, which myself play mostly warlord its hard to get over 40+ kills for expert badges before the short round ends, you do see a lot of people who do, i have seen Mr.Bonus get 70 kills on foot IAR, but to be honest i will never be that good, so vanilla karkand 64 player half full seems to be the way to go, only got engineer that qualifies for expert, but trying my nuts off to get both on warlard but fall short at 38 kills a few times now, so i may try your tactics soon!!

I rareley play SF anymore myself. The grappling hooks and zip lines are cool but having access to all of my unlocks is way cooler.

Take alook at Losers Server !

The links are in my sig:  The rounds last long and the people are a good bunch.. Just say you have spoken with StokoE from bf2s.com !

The rounds can go on like you say for over 45 mins at least.. on Warlord esp.. Ghost can last long but not nowhere as near..

See ya there..

Cheers..

Have had 200+ points on SF more than once, i find it easier than with vanilla to get higher points.

But all in all when u look at it, your spm dont change cause if u get 100 points for 1/2 hour or 200 points for 1 hour it equals the same right ?

The diff here is more played rounds when they are shorter, so when u get used to the maps in SF and know them better i`m sure u`ll find it way cool.

Search for Warhawks 24/7 warlord, rounds being 30 - 60 minutes, sometimes longer than that :-)

Found Warhawks last night before I read your post.  Good server long rounds.  The only thing was I fell this (.) much short: 43 kills and was shot in the back while I was going for my 44th with 3 seconds left.

I'll try again tonight and hope it all works out.  Thanks for the tip.

Just some practice and you`ll be there, when u know the map better and how it plays u`ll get 50+ kills with ease :-)
