Is the Q6550 E0 stepping much better than the E8500 for BC2?
It's quite laggy for me on low/medium at the moment.

other specs:
700 Watt PSU
295GTX XXX
4 GB RAM 1333

Q6550? Isn't that a Q6600 with a lower multiplier? In that case, I wouldn't do it.

I don't know why but I have only about 30-35 FPS on medium. It's running with 50 FPS on low.
Seems like the E8500 isn't enough to run it maxed out for me

Yep, I think I should buy 256 instead of 128 MB RAM
