I tried tubing and using explosives upgrade for the s but it didn't work noticeably better (nowhere near the likes of Danger Close)

Yay server maintenance! Got kicked off in the middle of the round and couldn't connect to EA Online. Seriously though, that's a good thing. Hopefully it will solve a lot of connection issues among other things.

Because you still got shot and died.

At first I felt like you, and wished that you wouldn't get deaths when revived.  But the longer I play the more I like that when you hit the ground you get a death recorded, even if you get revived.  BF2 had so many people that would only play when they had their full squad of friends with them who could constantly revive them, and full medic squads soon became the norm, which led to a bunch of people with highly inflated ratios who weren't actually very good at staying alive for longer than 20 seconds at a time.  (I'm sure I'm included in this group.)

If you really care about kill:death ratio, recon kit with a sniper rifle is the class for you.  Otherwise, the fun is likely going to be in the thick of the action, and in this game it probably isn't going to lead to 4:1 ratios every round.

For some reason, the stats system in this game doesn't inspire me to care about ratio or anything (whereas BF2 used to).  Everything in it just screams "play for fun, idiot!"

Maybe I'm just older and wiser. 



Or lazier.

Then that explains why I'm here at 4 AM with a beer in hand when I'm supposed to be at class and then work from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Im not obsessed with my overall KD but this feels like a misrepresentation of ones effectiveness in a round, specially in conquest or as a attacker in rush. Death on a scoreboard should mean that you lost a ticket for your team. You can flag hop all you want but if your KD is negative than you are doing it wrong (in most cases NOT ALL).

I havent figured out yet if there is a ticket bleed on Conquest or not, but if there's not than KD ratio becomes even more important. ITS NOT THE ONLY measure of how much you contributed, but its a very important one.

I played against a rank 3 player with a double gold star with the noob tube, I mean seriously fuck off back to consoles where they aim for you.

It makes me laugh how everyone moans about the noob tube in every BF game. I had great fun with one yesterday droping an ammo pack then tubing the doorway to the mcom as they other team run in to disable it. It's not my fault if people are so stupid that they keep running into a door and getting tubed.

There's too many dicks like you. ""I love using noob toobs and watching people rage. IT'S AWESOME!" Seriously fuck off and go play console. There is no reason to use that weapon and ruin people's game time.

Whilst I would not have much fun using this exclusively if a weapons in the game and someone want to use it it should not be a problem. While I was tubing the doorway anyone with any sense would have just killed me before going back.

do any of you experience the "cant move sideways ingame", i have been experiencing this since yesterday

i enter a game and i'm playing fine then in few minute my A and D button would stop working.

Not sure if this was posted on bf2s (by anyone besides me).  Quick review on BC2 GPU and CPU performance. 
If you cba . . . a decent Dual Core and a 9800gt or better is enough to play the game (1680 resolution).

So does this game not provide standalone patches? Am i truly stuck using this dreadful autoupdater?

It's 11pm here and i'm getting less than 100KB/s 85KB/s. I feel like i'm downloading this out of a hovel in Angola. Why can't i just download the patch off the internode servers at max speed and also not have to worry about it counting toward my quota

[edit] If NetLimiter is to be believed then i'm only averaging about 40KB/s
