Do you like doing this?

Some (?) servers give you extra points for making a kill if you are within the flag raising/lowering area. Do you ever deliberately stay inside that area to try and make more points from kills? Does the person you kill have to be close to the flag too?

I think it must be a server setting. It comes up with a "Defended the flag" message on the screen. I think you get perhaps 3 points then.

Oh wait BF2 not BC2

The defend point system is in the game - not optional by server settings.
2 for the kill and 1 for defending.

You can snipe him off from 500 yards and still get the points as long as he is within the defend radius.

Flag cap is different, to get the full 2 points, you has to be the first man on the flag, anyone joining you to cap gets a capture assist point which is 1.

? If you kill someone while they are capturing a flag, you have defended the flag. It's like that on all CTF games lol
